Side Effects
Loss of sexual ability/interest in men, depression, headache, hair thinning, swelling, fatigue, cough, muscle pain, bone pain, abdominal cramps, leg cramps, nausea, changes in menstrual periods, flushing, hot flashes.
Effects
As a nonsteroidal antiestrogen, Nolvadex is used to reduce the chances of breast cancer in high-risk patients, to treat breast cancer in certain patients after surgery and radiation therapy, and to treat breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic breast cancer).
Some symptoms such as vision problems or slurred speech; confusion; one-sided weakness; shortness of breath; coughing up blood; abnormal menstrual period; groin pressure or pain; chest pain; unusual vaginal bleeding or discharge, some of these events have been fatal.
